About Paula Waring

I am very fortunate to have been introduced to an active lifestyle at a very young age. I became an aerobic instructor at 23, and became very passionate about fitness. I have taught kids, seniors, aqua aerobics, walking fitness, step, slide, and now I focus on Yoga, chair Yoga and mat Pilates. I really enjoy working one-on-one with beginners and recently certified in Yoga for Cancer Recovery with Be Well Therapy.

Movement is crucial to staying healthy. Yoga strengthens your body in many ways. First and foremost, Yoga teaches you to deepen your breathing. Filling and emptying our lungs with mindful breathing can reduce the effects of our day-to-day stress. This stress can show itself in many ways: inflamation, insomnia, acid stomach, just to name a few. Mindful breathing moves our consciousness from the nervous system into the parasympathetic nervous system. This state of mind is where the body can reach homeostasis; a place where our body can heal on a physical level.
